Partner Coalitions

    • New York Minimum Wage Campaign : RAP is part of the coalition fighting to raise the minimum wage in New York state from the federal minimum of $ 7.25 per hour to $8.50 per hour.
    • NYC Paid Sick Days Campaign RAP is a coalition member of the campaign to ensure that the approximately 1.5 million working New Yorkers without paid sick time, have a modest minimum floor of paid sick time.
    • NYC Living Wage Campaign: RAP was a leader in the recent passage of the Fair Wages for New Yorkers act, affecting workers at developments that receive over one million dollars in public subsidies. Retail workers in such developments will now receive $10 an hour with benefits or $11.50 per hour without benefits.
    • Walmart Free NYC Coalition: RAP is part of the coalition of workers, residents, small business owners, community leaders, clergy and elected officials who are committed to increasing economic opportunities and preserving local businesses and bringing more jobs to communities across New York.
    • NYC Stop Credit Discrimination in Employment Coalition: RAP stands with groups across New York City calling for fair access to jobs, by ending unfair employer credit checks. This practice bars potentially-qualified New Yorkers from much needed jobs, and slows economic and job growth during a time of high unemployment.
