RAP’s Member Organizing Training (MOT) program provides skills, support, and hands-on experience for retail workers to build power in our stores and across the industry.
Winter 2015 MOT Program
December 2015 – March 2016
The Member Organizing Training program is a 3-month intensive training program develops the organizing and leadership skills of retail workers who want to learn how to become leaders in workplace change. You’ll get the training, skills and hands-on experience you’ll to build power in stores and across the retail industry. MOTs have gone on to become major leaders in RAP, their stores, and beyond.
MOTs engage with retail workers to:
- Identify issues in their workplace
- Connect with and inspire leaders in stores
- Plan and execute a worker-led action
Apply for the Summer 2016 session starting in July HERE. Submit the online application by Wednesday, May 4th at 11:59 PM. Please write 100-150 words for each answer. In your application, you will be asked to identify 3 times when you are available to meet with a RAP organizer between May 9th and June 17th.
